South Robert Trail is a popular driving road in the Twin Cities and for good reason. This two-lane highway snakes its way through the suburbs of Saint Paul while offering increasingly country-esque views. With a decent mix of bends and straights and the occasional elevation change, this road is perfect for a weekend blast if you’re in town and short on time. However, a 45 mph speed limit can throttle the enjoyment, as can a high density of commuter and Sunday driver traffic. While this road has its drawbacks, it can be appreciated as a glimmer of hope for a spirited drive in a gridlocked city.
